Approving Recruitment apps for Microsoft Teams and email access

If your organisation’s security settings require you to have an administrator approve access via Microsoft, you may receive an error message when trying to connect via Microsoft, Cronofy (gaining Calendar availability) or Teams.

What information do we require

In order to make the most of some of Recruitment's automation, we need consent to:

  • Send and receive emails from a user's email account triggered on Recruitment (via the Recruitment App for Email)
  • Help schedule interviews with access to a user's Team calendar to find available interview slots and schedule meetings (via the Recruitment App for Teams)

This will only apply to users in an organisation who have access to the reseller’s HR system, a Recruitment account, and have set up these integrations through their Recruitment settings.

How to approve

  1. Go to Enterprise Applications
    1. Under Security, click on Consent & Permissions
    2. In the User Consent Settings section:
  1. Ensure Allow user consent for apps is selected

    1. In the Admin Consent Settings section:
  1. Set 'Users can request admin consent to apps they are unable to consent to' to YES

    1. Under 'Who can review admin consent requests', add the users who can review the app
    2. Click Save
  1. Go to All Applications under 'Manage'
    1. Select the App (Simployer Recruitment App for Teams or Simployer Recruitment  App for Email - this process will need to be completed for both)
    2. Go to Properties
    3. Click the Delete button at the top to remove the application
  2. Try to connect again on Recruitment and send the consent request for the App

  1. Return to Enterprise Applications
    1. Click on Admin consent requests under Activity and approve the app
  2. Reconnect the app and you should be good to go!

Note: If you have already approved these applications and are still unable to connect, please ask your administrator to revoke consent for both applications and follow this set up guide when re-approving the request to ensure connectivity.
