What email notifications do workflow assignees receive?
- Workflow start: Assigned users get a notification on the day the workflow starts, even if the workflow is created and starts on the same day.
- Due date reminders: Assignees are reminded the day before each task is due, and again on the due date.
- Overdue alerts: If a task isn't completed by its deadline, a single alert is sent the day after it becomes overdue.
- Daily digest: All notifications are grouped into one daily email. If an assignee has multiple tasks, they receive one summary email listing them all.
How do I turn workflow notifications on or off?
- In the left-hand menu, go to Automations, then select Workflows.
- Select the Settings tab.
- Under Notifications, select or clear the Email checkbox.
Important: This setting applies to your entire company account. Turning it off stops assignees from receiving workflow notification emails for all workflows.
FAQs
Will an assignee get a notification if a workflow starts and ends on the same day?
Yes. Assigned users receive a workflow start notification on the day the workflow starts, even if it's created and starts on the same day.
How many emails will I get if I have several tasks due at once?
Just one. Simployer One groups all notifications into a single daily digest email, so an assignee with multiple tasks due receives one summary email listing them all.
