How do I edit or revoke an approved time off request in Simployer One?
Owners, Administrators, and Managers can edit or revoke approved employee time off requests in Simployer One.
Note
Owners and Administrators can edit or revoke any approved leave request. Managers can only edit or revoke approved leave requests for employees they approve in the leave policy.
How do I open an approved time off request?
- Find the employee using Search or Employees.
- Open the employee's profile.
- Select the Time off tab.
- Select See all.
- Open the leave request you want to manage.
The available actions depend on the status of the leave request.
How do I edit an approved time off request?
- Open the leave request.
- Select Edit.
- Update the leave details.
- Select Update request.
You can edit:
- The leave dates or duration.
- The description or comment.
Note
The leave type cannot be changed. If you need to change the leave type, revoke the request and create a new one.
What happens after I edit an approved request?
- The employee receives a notification.
- The employee's Calendar is updated.
- The leave request follows the approval workflow again, if approval is required.
How do I revoke an approved time off request?
- Open the leave request.
- Select Revoke.
- Confirm the action.
If the leave policy requires approval for revoking leave, the revoke request follows the normal approval workflow. If approval is not required, the leave is removed immediately.
Can I edit or revoke past leave?
Yes. Owners, Administrators, and Managers can edit or revoke both past and future leave requests, provided they have the required permissions.
Managers can only manage leave requests for employees they approve in the leave policy.
What happens after I revoke a leave request?
- The employee receives a notification.
- The employee's Calendar is updated.
- The leave request is removed or updated based on the approval workflow configured in the leave policy.
