Meet your new AI assistant in Simployer (Beta)

We're excited to introduce a brand-new AI assistant inside Simployer — a chat companion that helps you find HR information in seconds, just by asking in plain language. This is the first step on a journey we're really excited about, and we're launching it as a beta so you can try it early and help shape where it goes next.

What it can do

Ask the assistant a question the way you'd ask a colleague, and it finds the answer for you across your HR data. In this first release it can help you with:

• People & profiles — look up a colleague, see your own profile, find someone's department or nearest leader. ("Who is the nearest leader of Karin Ordman?", "Show me my profile.")

• Organisation & departments — explore your company structure and look up department or company details. ("Which department do I belong to?", "Show me the organisation chart.")

• Employments & positions — view job titles, start dates, employment history and reporting lines. ("When did I start?", "What positions does this person hold?")

• Groups — see which groups exist and who belongs to them. ("Who's in the HR group?")

• Contact information — find email, phone and address details for people, departments and groups.

• Documents & custom fields — look up document categories and any custom (extended) properties your organisation uses.

• Search by name — find any person, group or department just by typing their name.

What it can't do yet

We're being upfront about the current limits — this is a beta, and we'll keep expanding it:

• Read-only for now. The assistant can find and show information, but it can't change anything yet. It won't create, update or delete data.

• Not yet covered: sick leave, absences and vacation, and travel & expenses. These areas are on our roadmap but aren't part of this release.

Works on desktop and mobile

The assistant is available in the web app both on desktop and mobile. On mobile especially, simply asking a question is often the fastest way to get the information you need — no navigating through menus on a small screen.

You're in full control — turn it on when you're ready

The assistant is available to all Classic customers, but it's off by default. You'll see a greyed-out assistant icon in the top-right corner. An administrator can switch it on at any time in Administration / Other / Turn features on/off  — so it's entirely your choice whether and when to enable it.

It's a beta — we'd love your feedback

This is an early release, and your input directly shapes what comes next. As you use it, let us know: What worked well? Where did it fall short? What would you like it to do next? We're listening, and we'll be iterating quickly.
