Copy existing activity
To save time when creating new activities, you can copy an existing activity.
Hover the mouse pointer over the activity you want to copy.
Click Actions – Copy.
In the message displayed at the top of the page, click "Click here to edit".
A copied activity contains the same information as the original, with the following exceptions:
Start and end are blank.
The status of the activity and all its sub-items is "Under construction".
Administrator is the person who copied the activity.
Administrator permissions are set to default (same as when creating a new activity).
Participants and results are blank.
4.2. Create new activity from template
To create a new activity (course, test, evaluation, or similar):
Go to Administer > Learning > Activities.
Click Create new.
Click on an activity template you want to use.
Your choice of template determines what the activity can be used for and which settings will be available. The templates you can choose from may vary, depending both on your permissions and on which templates have been configured in your system.
Note: You cannot change the template afterwards.
Below are descriptions of how to use each activity template. The first template described is "Training program", where all relevant fields are presented. For the other activity templates, the guide only describes the fields that differ from the training program template. Which fields appear in your portal may vary depending on the customizations made.
Contact Netcompetence if you are missing fields, or if you want to hide fields that are not relevant for your organization.
It is also possible to configure which settings should be set as default values in the template.
