Certificates have some notification events that are not available for other activity types. These are:
| Event | Example of use |
|---|---|
| Participant becomes certified | Sent to the participant and their manager with information that a certificate has been issued. |
| Specified number of days before the certificate expires | Sent to the participant and their manager as a reminder that it is time for recertification. |
| Certificate has expired | Sent to the participant and their manager with information that a certificate has expired, i.e., the participant is no longer certified. |
