How to complete tasks assigned to you in Simployer One
When a workflow is started in your organization, tasks are assigned to the relevant people. If a task is assigned to you, you receive a notification and can access the task from Tasks in the main menu.
Before you complete a workflow task
To complete a task:
You must have been assigned the task as part of an active workflow.
You will receive a notification when a new task is assigned to you.
Any due date for the task is shown on the task.
How do I know when a workflow task has been assigned to me?
When you have one or more assigned tasks waiting, a notification badge appears on Tasks in the left-hand menu.
You also receive a notification when a new task is assigned to you.
Find your assigned workflow tasks
Go to Tasks in the left-hand menu.
Browse your assigned tasks.
Select a task to open it and view the full instructions.
Tasks may include links to documents or other resources you need to complete the task.
Complete an assigned workflow task
Open the task from Tasks.
Read the task instructions carefully.
Open any linked documents or resources you need.
Complete the actions described in the task.
Mark the task as complete.
Tip: Read the full task instructions before you start. They may contain important information or links you need to complete the task.
Tip: Complete the task by its due date to avoid delays to the overall workflow.
What happens after I complete a workflow task?
When you mark the task as complete:
The person responsible for the workflow is notified.
The overall workflow progress is updated automatically.
What should I do if I cannot complete a workflow task?
If you cannot complete a task or are unsure what the task requires, contact the person responsible for the workflow.
They can:
Help clarify what you need to do.
Update the due date.
Skip the task on your behalf if it is no longer relevant.
Important: Do not leave a task incomplete without contacting the person responsible for the workflow if you are unable to complete it.
Can I create, assign, or reassign workflow tasks?
No. Tasks are created and assigned by Owners and Admins as part of a workflow template.
If you are assigned a task, you cannot create new workflow tasks or reassign your task to someone else.
