Review Cycle Details

What are the review cycle statuses?

A review cycle in Simployer One can have one of three statuses:

• Upcoming — The review cycle has not started yet. You can see the review, but you cannot submit any answers until it begins.
• In progress — The review cycle has started and is currently active. You can submit answers and notes.
• Completed — The review cycle has ended. You can no longer submit feedback.

You can see the Upcoming and In progress statuses in the Activity tab of the Reviews section. Once a review cycle is completed, it moves to the History tab, where it's shown with the Completed status.

How does the review cycle timeline work?

Between the review cycle's start date and end date, participants can submit their feedback and meeting notes.

Depending on the review cycle's settings, the timeline can display different steps in between the start and end date, including:

• A timeline with no custom reminders
• A timeline with two custom reminders
• A timeline with a custom reminder for feedback
• A timeline with a custom reminder for meeting notes

If participants don't complete their reviews in time, despite the default and any custom reminders, the review cycle can be extended to give them more time to finish. For steps on how to set up or extend a review cycle, see Creating a Review Cycle.

How is review cycle completion calculated?

Simployer One tracks completion at two levels:

• Per step — Each individual step within a review is tracked separately.
• Per review — A review is marked as completed only once all of its steps have been completed.

The overall completion rate for a review cycle is based on how many of its included reviews are fully completed. This is shown in the Cycle progress bar.

Example:

A review cycle includes 2 reviews, and each review has 3 steps:

• Review 1: Felicia and Erik have completed all steps. This review counts as completed.
• Review 2: 2 steps are still outstanding. This review does not count as completed.

Since 1 of the 2 reviews in the cycle is fully completed, the cycle shows 50% completion.
