What is Peer feedback?
Peer feedback lets the reviewer collect written input from colleagues on a conversation's discussion points. The responses are shown alongside the participants' own answers, adding more perspectives to the conversation — a lightweight form of 360 feedback.
Peer feedback is available in all conversations that have a preparation phase — no setup is needed. It is not available in check-ins.
Note: Only the reviewer can request peer feedback. Peers give their input through a dedicated response flow — they do not get access to the conversation itself.
How do I ask peers for feedback?
As the reviewer, open the conversation and select Ask peers in the options menu. In the modal you:
- Select discussion points — all are pre-selected, and you can unselect the ones you don't want feedback on. At least one is required.
- Select colleagues — anyone in the organisation except the two participants and already-invited peers.
- Edit the message — a default message is prefilled and can be personalised before sending.
Each selected peer receives a notification with a Give feedback link, along with who asked, who the feedback is about, and your message.
Note: The selection of discussion points is locked once the first request is sent — peers added later get the same discussion points.
How do I manage invited peers?
Once peers have been invited, the conversation shows a peer feedback section with the number of invited peers and how many have responded. Both participants can see who has been invited. Via Manage peers:
- More peers can be invited at any point until the conversation is closed.
- A peer can be removed — their answers are then hidden from the conversation.
How do I respond to a peer feedback request?
If you receive a feedback request, follow the Give feedback link in the notification. There are two ways to respond:
- With Sia — the link opens a Sia chat that already knows who asked, who the feedback is about, and which discussion points are included. Sia guides you through the points conversationally, and if you have several open requests, Sia lists them and takes them one by one. Nothing is submitted without your explicit confirmation, and before submitting you also get a link to the response form to review your answers.
- In the response form — all included discussion points on one page, each with its input type (text, smiley, or slider). Answers save automatically, and you can edit until you submit.
Your drafts are visible only to you until you submit. If the conversation has been closed before you respond, the form is no longer available and a message explains why.
Where does peer feedback show up in the conversation?
Each discussion point with invited peers gets a collapsible Peer feedback section below the participants' side-by-side responses. It shows each peer's name, when they responded, and their answer — or "waiting for response" if they haven't answered yet.
Peer feedback becomes visible to both participants once both have submitted their own responses. If the Early access for reviewer setting is enabled, the reviewer sees peer responses as soon as they come in.
Submitted peer feedback is also used as supplementary input by Sia — in the AI-generated summary, Sia Briefing, and Past answers on this topic — always weighted as secondary to the participants' own answers.
