How to switch from the Simployer One Slackbot to Simployer One AI bot

Modified on Thu, 6 Mar at 10:54 AM

There are currently two different versions of Slackbots, Simployer One and Simployer One AI. Simployer One is the old version of our Slackbot and Simployer One AI is the newer version. If you have the Simployer One app installed, we suggest that you uninstall it and switch to the newer Simployer One AI app. Any mainetance, improvements and new functionality will be released to the Simployer One AI app going forward and we will finalize the replacement of the Simployer One Slackbot in the beginning of 2024.

Switching to the new app is as easy as 1, 2, 3!

Here are the steps for Owners/Admins:

Simployer One

Step 1:

  • Go in to the company tab, scroll down to Slack and in there you can "Remove integration" for Slack in the Simployer One  tab.

Step 2:

  • Then go to the Simployer One  AI tab and connect that new Simployer One  AI Slackbot. When clicking "Connect Slack" you should be able allow Simployer One AI to connect with your Slack workspace.

  • Slack should automatically add the app "Simployer One AI" to your Slack, allowing you to get started right away

    • if not you can also manually add the new app via Slack:

    • Go in to Apps (App Directory) in Slack, search for Simployer One AI. Select the app and write the command: /alexis-ai login and "Connect now".

Slack

Step 3:

  • Go to Slack and the old AlexisHR Slackbot: write the command /alexis logout and then remove the Simployer One Slackbot by simply clicking the "x" in the menu

Here are the steps for Employees:

  1. To remove old Slackbot: Go to Simployer One in Slack and write command /alexis logout

    1. Remove the Simployer One app from Slack

  2. To add the new Slackbot: Go to "Add apps" and search for Simployer One AI

    1. "Connect now" or /alexis-ai login

Done ? Now you should only have an active connection between Simployer One AI (Slack) and Simployer One  (web). And in this Slackbot you can just do everything as before - use the command "help" to find out everything you can do in the new Slackbot.
