With our Slackbot you can choose to send notifications for different events to the relevant channels in your workspace and employees can use the Slackbot to request time off, working from home or review their vacation balance.

Sending notifications to your workspace

After connecting your Slack workspace, you need to set up the notifications and which channels the notifications should be sent to.

  1. Choose which channel you want to use. Keep in mind that our Slackbot can only see public channels per default. If you want to add a private channel then jump to the next section here.

  2. Choose the types of notifications you want to redirect to the channel. If you want to, you can send different notifications to different channels. Just repeat the steps until you've added all the relevant ones.

    1. You can set up as many notification policies as you want. For example, if you want absence notifications to be sent to to a one channel and then birthdays, remote work and anniversaries to another then you can do so.

Send notifications to a private channel on Slack

  1. Go to the private channel and click on the arrow next to the name of the channel.

  2. Go to Integrations and "Add an App" in the section "Apps", search for Simployer One and hit Add.

  3. Done! Go back to the Slack settings in Simployer One and update your view to find the private channel in the drop-down list.
