NAV Integration in Simployer One
The NAV integration in Simployer One enables automatic import of sick leaves directly from NAV. This reduces manual work, ensures accurate data, and supports compliance with Norwegian sick leave regulations.
How to set up the NAV Integration
To activate the NAV integration:
- Navigate to Settings → Integrations in Simployer One.
- Locate the NAV Integration section.
- Click Integrate.
- Enter the company’s organization number.

You will then be redirected to Altinn to complete the authorization process.
Authorization in Altinn by the CEO
- The CEO of the company must authenticate using BankID.
- The CEO must grant Simployer permission to access and process sick leave data from NAV.
- Once access is granted, the integration is immediately activated.
No additional technical setup is required.
This is how it looks on Altinn:

When access is granted, you are redirected to Simployer One and you will be informed if the setup was successful or not.

What happens after the integration is enabled
Once the NAV integration is active:
- All sick leaves are imported automatically from NAV to Simployer One.
- Each imported sick leave includes relevant information such as:
- Duration
- Grade (percentage)
- Issue date
- Medical details from the sick note
Note: Sick note documents are not attached as files. Instead, the information from the sick note is displayed directly in the leave dialogue in Simployer One.

Handling of imported sick leave
Sick leaves imported from NAV have the following characteristics:
- They are automatically approved
- They cannot be edited manually
- They are clearly identifiable as imported from NAV
- Managers are notified by email when a new sick leave is created from NAV
Imported sick leaves from NAV also:
- Trigger sick leave follow-up processes in Simployer One, just like a manually registered leave, if sick leave follow-up is configured under workflows.
- Ensure compliance Norwegian Holiday Act and overlapping leaves.
