Registering Competencies for Employees

Modified on Tue, 21 Jul at 8:25 AM

There are two ways to register competencies for employees in Simployer Classic:

  1. Directly on the employee's profile

  2. Using the Competence menu

The first option is ideal for registering individual competencies, while the second is better suited for registering the same competence for multiple employees at once, for example when an entire department has completed the same training course.

Registering Competencies on an Employee Profile

Search for the employee and open their profile.

Navigate to Competence.

At the bottom of the page, you will find a list of Unregistered Competencies for that employee. Click the competence you want to register and enter the required information.

Tip: On the right-hand side of the page, you will find the buttons Show Mandatory and Show All. It is recommended to use these filters to ensure you see all available competencies.

If you have enabled the option that allows employees to register their own competencies within the competence category settings, make sure employees are informed and provide them with instructions on how to complete their registrations.

Once a competence has been registered, it will appear in a new section called Competence Overview for [Employee Name], making it easy to review and update the employee's competencies at a later stage.

Registering Competencies for Multiple Employees

Navigate to:

Competence → Register Competence

This method is recommended when several employees need to be registered with the same competence, such as after completing a shared training course.

Start by selecting the competence you want to register.

Next, choose the appropriate department.

A list of employees in the selected department will be displayed.

If necessary, remove employees from the list who should not receive the competence—for example, if they did not attend the training.

After confirming the selection, complete the registration to assign the competence to all selected employees simultaneously.

This approach provides a fast and efficient way to maintain competence records for larger groups of employees while ensuring consistent registration across the organization.
