What are custom fields?
Custom fields in Simployer One let you collect employee information that is not included in the standard employee profile. To display a custom field on an employee profile, create the field, add it to a group, and assign that group to a profile template. An employee can only have one profile template assigned.
Before you begin
You need administrator access or permission to manage custom fields and employee profile settings.
- Plan what information you need to collect.
- Decide which employees need the field.
- Decide who can view and edit the field.
- Check whether a similar field already exists.
- Avoid collecting sensitive personal information unless required.
