How do I create and manage Goals in Simployer One?
Goals help your organization plan, track, and achieve measurable objectives. You can create company goals, organize them into parent goals and sub-goals, assign ownership, monitor progress, and update their status throughout the goal lifecycle.
Before you begin
Every employee can create company goals.
How do I create a goal?
- Navigate to Performance → Goals.
- Open the Company tab.
- Select + Add goal.
- Enter the Goal name.
- Add a clear Description.
- (Optional) Select a Parent goal if you are creating a sub-goal.
- Select the Lead.
- Add one or more Collaborators.
- Choose the Cycle.
- Select the Due dates.
- Choose the Quantifying value.
- Configure the Progress metrics.
- (Optional) Enable Keep this goal private.
- Select Save goal.
The new goal is immediately available.
What does each field mean?
(Then explain each field exactly as the user provided: Goal, Description, Parent Goal, Lead, Collaborators, Cycle, Due Dates, Quantifying Value, Progress Metrics, Private Goal.)
How do I update progress?
Progress can be updated in two ways:
Automatically
If the goal contains sub-goals, progress can automatically update as sub-goals are completed.
Manually
Update the Current value in the Progress metrics.
The progress bar updates automatically.
How do I change the goal status?
Open the goal and choose one of:
- Not started
- In progress
- Road block
- Paused
- Achieved
- Dropped
- Archived
How do I edit a goal?
- Open the goal and update any of the available fields.
- Select Save.
How do I view archived goals?
- Enable Show archived goals.
- Archived goals remain available for reference.
Best practices
- Write clear, measurable goals.
- Use sub-goals for larger objectives.
- Update progress regularly.
- Assign one responsible lead.
- Keep descriptions specific.
