How do I configure Recruitment in Simployer One before creating your first job?
Configure the required settings before creating and publishing your first job. This article explains permissions, privacy settings, publishing methods, the Career page, branding, and recommended personal integrations.
Before you begin
Recruitment permissions must be assigned before the Recruitment module becomes available.
Note
Recruitment permissions are separate from the standard roles and permissions in Simployer One.
Each Recruitment account can have only one Account Owner. Account Owners and Admins can grant Recruitment permissions.
| Permission | Capabilities |
Account Owner | Grant permissions, configure the account, Privacy Policy, Career page, branding and all Admin capabilities. |
| Admin | Manage jobs, candidates, reports, templates, integrations and grant Recruitment permissions. |
| User | Manage jobs they own, personal integrations and custom templates. |
| Reviewer | Participate in interviews, complete scorecards and work only on assigned jobs. |

Connect your email account
If you want to send emails to candidates directly from Recruitment, connect your Outlook or Gmail account.
Once connected, you can send candidate communication such as:
- Interview invitations
- Emails when moving candidates to another stage
- Follow-up messages
- Other candidate communication
Important
Recruitment can send standard system emails, such as application confirmations and notifications, without a connected Outlook or Gmail account. However, if you want to send emails directly to candidates from Recruitment, you must connect your own Outlook or Gmail account.
Note
If a recruitment stage is configured to send an email but no email account is connected, the email is not sent and a red Not sent label appears next to the candidate's name.
Connect your video conferencing provider
If you conduct online interviews, connect one of the following services:
- Microsoft Teams
- Google Meet
These integrations allow Recruitment to include online meeting links in interview invitations.
What should you do next?
After completing the setup, you are ready to create and publish your first job.
