What does my vacation balance show in Simployer One?

In Simployer One, you can review your current vacation balance. Your vacation balance is shown in two views: a collapsed view and an expanded view.

What do the fields in the collapsed vacation balance view mean in Simployer One?

The collapsed view of your vacation balance in Simployer One shows three fields:

  • Paid vacation days left this year: The amount of paid vacation days you have left this year.
  • Unpaid vacation days left: The amount of unpaid vacation days you have left this year.
  • Saved days: The total amount of saved vacation days you have left.


What do the fields in the expanded vacation balance view mean in Simployer One?

The expanded view of your vacation balance in Simployer One shows four additional fields:

  • Saved vacation days [year]: A breakdown of the vacation days saved from previous years, shown per year.
  • Total spent vacation days this year: The sum of all vacation days you have spent this year.
  • Paid vacation days at the start of this year: The amount of paid vacation days you started this year with. This number takes any vacation day adjustment into account. See "What does the Vacation day adjustment field mean in Simployer One?" below.
  • Calculated earned days for this year: The number of vacation days you will earn this year. Depending on your employment contract, these days may already be available to you, or they may become available next year.


What does the Vacation day adjustment field mean in Simployer One?

The Vacation day adjustment field in Simployer One is only visible to users with the Admin or Owner role.

This field is used to adjust an employee's vacation balance:

  • A negative number removes days from the balance.
  • A positive number adds days to the balance.

It is also used to set up an account with the correct vacation day values.
