How does Sia work when you have access to both Norwegian and Swedish Expert content?

Who can use Sia with both Norwegian and Swedish Expert content?

You can use Sia with both countries if two things are true:

  • Your company's Simployer subscription includes Expert content for both Norway and Sweden.
  • Your user account has access to both Norwegian and Swedish Expert content.

Users with access to both countries could not use Sia before. They can now use it, and Sia answers questions about either country.

If your access covers only Norway or only Sweden, nothing changes for you. Sia answers using the Expert content for your one country.

How does Sia decide whether to answer for Norway or Sweden?

Sia looks at each question on its own and answers from the legal content of the country the question is about. You don't need to set a country before you start.

Because Sia decides for each question separately, you can switch between Norwegian and Swedish topics in the same conversation.

  • Question applies to one country: Sia answers for that country only.
  • Question applies to both countries: Sia answers for Norway and Sweden in turn.

Does the language I write in affect which country Sia answers for?

No. The language of your question does not decide which country's Expert content Sia uses.

For example, if you write in Swedish about Norwegian working time regulations, Sia answers about Norway. Write in whichever language you're most comfortable with.

How do I see which country a Sia answer is based on?

Every Sia answer shows which country's legal content it comes from:

  • The answer displays the country's flag.
  • The answer names its source as Expert Norway or Expert Sweden.

Important

Check the flag and source before you act on an answer. This matters most when your question could apply to both Norway and Sweden.

How do I ask Sia about the other country?

Ask Sia directly in the same conversation. There is no country setting to change. For example:

  • "And how is this handled in Sweden?"
  • "Provide the same answer for Norway."

Sia switches to that country's Expert content. The flag and source shown in the answer change to match.

How do I compare Norway and Sweden in Sia?

Ask Sia to compare the two countries. For example:

  • "What are the differences in notice periods between Norway and Sweden?"

Sia draws on both Expert Norway and Expert Sweden content to answer.

What should I do if Sia answers for the wrong country?

If Sia answers using Expert content for a country you didn't ask about:

  1. Ask your question again and name the country you want, for example "for Sweden" or "for Norway."
  2. Check that the answer now shows the correct flag and names Expert Norway or Expert Sweden as expected.
  3. If Sia still answers for the wrong country, contact support. Include the question you asked and the country you expected Sia to answer for.

What are the limitations of Sia with Norwegian and Swedish Expert content?

  • Only subscribed content: Sia answers only from the Expert content your company subscribes to. It cannot give answers based on the legal content of a country your company does not have.
  • Rules without an equivalent: Some regulations exist in only one country. When you ask about one of these, Sia answers for the country where the rule exists.
