How do you register subsistence allowance when a business trip includes private days?

Register meals for private days to prevent subsistence allowance from being paid for the private part of a business trip.

When an employee includes private days in a business trip, for example by extending the trip for a vacation, the system calculates subsistence allowance for the entire trip from the start date to the end date. The system cannot currently pause the subsistence allowance calculation for the private part of the trip.

To prevent subsistence allowance from being paid for the private days, the employee must manually register meals for those days.

Register a business trip that includes private days

  1. Open the travel wizard and enter the trip as usual, using the actual start and end dates for the entire trip.
  2. Go to Meal deductions.
  3. For each private day, select Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.

The meal deductions ensure that no subsistence allowance is paid for the private part of the trip.
