How do I upload employee and organization data to Simployer One?

After you have prepared the employee and organization import templates, upload them to Simployer One so your Simployer implementation consultant can import the data into your company.

Before you begin

• Complete both the Employee and Organization Excel templates. 
• Save the completed files in Excel format. 
• Make sure the information has been reviewed before uploading the files. 

How do I upload the completed import files?

1. Sign in to Simployer One. 
2. Open your profile and navigate to **Documents **  - **My documents**. 
3. Upload the completed Employee and Organization Excel templates. 
4. Confirm that both files have been uploaded successfully. 
5. Inform your Simployer implementation consultant that the files are ready for import.

Important: Uploading the files does not import them into Simployer One. Only a Simployer implementation consultant can perform the import using Simporter.

What happens after the files are uploaded?

1. Your Simployer implementation consultant imports the data using Simporter. 
2. The consultant reviews and resolves any validation warnings or errors before completing the import. 
3. After the import is complete, imported employees appear in the New hires list. 
4. Employees are not invited automatically and do not receive any notification emails during the import. 
5. Review the imported employee information before activating employees and sending invitation emails.

FAQs

Does uploading the files import the data?

No. Uploading the files only makes them available to your Simployer implementation consultant. The actual import is performed with Simporter. 

Who performs the import?

A Simployer implementation consultant performs the import using Simporter. 

Can employees sign in immediately after the files are uploaded? 

No. Employees can only sign in after the data has been imported, the employee has been activated, and an invitation email has been sent.
