How to include Custom Fields in Reports

Modified on Fri, 16 Oct at 11:03 AM

How do I create a report using custom fields?

You can include any custom field you've created as a column in a report. This lets you see custom field values, such as T-shirt size or food allergies, for all employees in one place.

  1. Go to Insights, then click Reports.
  2. Open the report you want to add custom fields to and click Edit or click New report, select Colleague as the report type, and enter a name in Report details.
  3. In Pick your columns, select the custom fields you want to include as columns in the report under Custom fields. You can also select other columns, such as First name and Last name.
  4. In Column ordering, drag the columns into the order you want and click Next. The report is saved and opened.
  5. Optional: Add a filter, for example First name, to narrow down the results, then click Add filter.
  6. Click Export to CSV if you want to download the report.

Note: You can click Edit on an existing report to change which custom fields are included.
