Where to find results in Employee Surveys

Modified on Thu, 27 Aug at 1:06 PM

Employee Surveys have several results views. Each view helps you answer a different question about your survey data. Use the overview below to understand which results feature to open when you need to review, compare, present, or track survey results.

Where do I find the latest Employee Surveys results?

Use the Dashboard when you need a quick overview of the latest Employee Surveys results. You find the Dashboard under Employee Surveys > Start > then select the Dashboard tab.

The Dashboard can show the latest results, favorite groups, Pulse survey insights, comments, suggested actions, alerts, key performance indicators, and response information. The exact content can vary depending on the surveys and features your company uses.

Use the Dashboard when: you want a fast status overview of the latest Employee Surveys results.

Detailed article: How do I view the latest Employee Surveys results on the Dashboard?

Where do I review each Employee Surveys question in detail?

Use Individual Questions when you want to review Employee Surveys results question by question. You find Individual Questions under Employee Surveys > Results > then select the Individual Questions tab.

Individual Questions is the best results view for preparing a presentation for a group. You can choose a group, compare one group with another, review results from different weeks or pulses, remove questions from the view, use filters, check comments, and export results.

Use Individual Questions when: you want to present results, compare one group with another for a single question, or export question-level results. You can compare two groups at a time. To compare several groups, use Heatmap.

Where do I compare Employee Surveys results across groups?

Use Heatmap when you want to compare Employee Surveys results across several groups in one view. You find Heatmap under Employee Surveys > Results > then select the Heatmap tab.

The Heatmap shows results, KPIs, and group comparisons in a colour-coded overview. It is useful when you need to spot differences between groups, review subgroups, or export a group comparison to Excel.

Use Heatmap when: you want to compare several groups quickly in one Employee Surveys results view.

Where do I filter Employee Surveys results by employee attributes?

Use Segments when your company uses employee attributes to filter Employee Surveys results. You find Segments under Employee Surveys > Results > then select the Segments tab. Examples of employee attributes can include age, gender, or length of employment.

Segments are not used by every company. If your company does not use segments, you may not see this results option or you may not have segment data available.

Use Segments when: you want to filter Employee Surveys results by employee attributes that your company has made available.

Where do I track Employee Surveys KPIs over time?

Use KPIs when you want to track standard or customer key performance indicators over time. You find KPIs under Employee Surveys > Results > then select the KPIs tab.

A KPI is an aggregated score generated from a group of questions in a survey. The KPI score is shown as an average value from the questions included in the KPI. Most KPI scores use a scale from 0 to 100. The eNPS question uses a scale from -100 to +100.

Use KPIs when: you want to follow a combined Employee Surveys score over time instead of reviewing one question at a time.

Where do I find Engagement model results in Employee Surveys?

Use Engagement drivers to view results from the standard Engagement model when it has been run as a baseline measurement or continuous measurement.

You find these results under Employee Surveys > Results > then select the Engagement drivers tab.

The Engagement drivers tab shows:

  • Overall engagement score
  • Scores for the 7 engagement drivers
  • Driver scores and trends over time
  • Suggested actions connected to selected driver results

Note: Results from other engagement pulses, such as Diagnose Engagement Drivers, Diagnose Engagement Drivers (Large), and in-depth driver pulses are not shown under the Engagement drivers tab. The Engagement drivers tab only shows results from the standard Engagement model run as a baseline measurement or continuous measurement.

Use Engagement Drivers when: you want to understand the overall engagement score and the driver scores behind it.

Which Employee Surveys results view should I use?

  • Dashboard: Use for the latest results overview
  • Individual Questions: Use for question-level review, group presentation and comments
  • Heatmap: Use for comparing several groups in one colour-coded view
  • Segments: Use for filtering results by employee attributes, if your company uses segments
  • KPIs: Use for tracking aggregated survey scores over time
  • Engagement Drivers: Use for overall engagement and engagement drivers results when the standard Engagement model is run as a baseline or continuous measurement.
