Create a user account, send login details, and troubleshoot login problems in Simployer Classic.

Create a user account in Simployer Classic

  1. Scroll to Account Information at the bottom of the person’s General Info page.
  2. Click the plus icon next to Account Information and follow the wizard.
  3. Select a username on the first screen. We recommend using the person’s email address.
  4. Grant application access. If the person only uses Simployer, select that application. If you have multiple applications, you can select Give access to all applications and then remove the applications the person should not access.
  5. Click Create user account.

If the person already has access but is having trouble logging in, check their application access and resend the welcome letter if necessary.

Send a welcome letter from Simployer Classic

The person needs login information and a link for setting a password before they can use the system. You can provide this information by sending a welcome letter:

  1. Open the top menu on the person’s General Info page and select Send welcome letter.
  2. Select With username and password.
  3. The next screen shows the email the employee will receive from Simployer. The email contains the username, a link for setting a password, and a login link.
  4. Scroll down to add a personal message for the employee. The message appears in the second paragraph of the email.

Note

You cannot save the personal message. You must enter it manually for each welcome letter you send.

Troubleshoot login problems in Simployer Classic

If the employee cannot log in, check the username under Account Information at the bottom of the person’s profile. Make sure the employee is logging in with the correct username.

Also check that the employee has access to the correct applications. Go to Settings → Roles at the top of the profile to see which applications the employee can access.

You can also use the top menu on the person’s page to send a new password-setting link if the person has forgotten their password or login information.
