Why can’t an administrator edit the handbook?

Learn how to restore editing access when you opened the handbook through a read-only link.

Why are the handbook editing options missing?

If you cannot edit a handbook, the most common cause is that you opened the handbook through a read-only link instead of signing in with your own user account.

How to restore editing access to the handbook

  1. Go to handbooks.simployer.com. If you are taken directly to the handbook, select Global Menu, the square icon in the upper-left corner.
  2. Check which user is signed in. If you do not see your name, select the displayed user and then select Log out.
  3. On the login page, sign in with your own username and password.
  4. Return to the handbook. On the handbook home page, select Actions, the round button with three dots. You should now see the Edit option.
