Template: Certifying test

Modified on Mon, 29 Sep at 11:24 AM

Used for tests that must be conducted at regular intervals. The template includes settings for how often the test must be taken, as well as rules for when recertification can begin.

To add a certifying test:

  1. Start by creating a test with questions in the test module (see the guide “Building Tests in Netcompetence Talent Portal”)

  2. Go to Administer > Learning > Activities

  3. Click Create New

  4. Select the template Certifying test

  5. Then select the previously created test resource

  6. Fill in the certificate information. It works the same way as for Learning Programs (see the section TEMPLATE LEARNING PROGRAM)

  7. Click the Certificate tab and set the rules for the certificate validity period

  • Validity starts from the date the certificate is issued: Specify how long the certificate is valid. Calculated from the date the participant is certified. You can choose validity in years and/or months. This makes the expiration date vary for each participant.

  • Validity applies calendar-wise until the chosen date: The certificate expires on the same date for all participants. Choose 1 year for the current year period (cannot exceed 1 year, but shorter for participants starting mid-period). Choose 2 years for the next year period (valid at least 1 year, max 2 years).

  1. Click the Recertification tab and set rules for recertification, i.e., what applies to participants with an active certificate:

  • No time limit: Recertification can begin at any time; the test is always available. The new validity period starts from the day the recertification is approved.

  • Recertification no earlier than 15 days before certificate expires: The test is locked until 15 days remain on the certificate. The new validity period starts from the old certificate’s last day.
