How to change my language in Employee Surveys

Modified on Wed, 26 Aug at 10:52 PM

What is the difference between System language and Preferred language?

Employee Surveys have two separate personal language settings:

  • System language controls the language used in the Employee Surveys menus and navigation.
  • Preferred language controls the language used for questions in Employee Surveys.

Important: Changing System language does not change the language of survey questions. Changing Preferred language does not change the language of the Employee Surveys menus and navigation.

How do I change the language for Employee Surveys questions?

  1. Go to Employee Surveys > Account.
  2. Open the My settings tab.
  3. Find Preferred language.
  4. Select the language you want to use for Employee Surveys questions.
  5. Scroll down and select Save.

Note: When you answer a survey, you can also change the question language using the language option in the upper-right corner. Changing the language there also updates your Preferred language in Employee Surveys.

Expected result: Employee Surveys questions use the selected Preferred language. If the questions are not available in that language, Employee Surveys uses the default language configured in the company account.

How do I change the language of the Employee Surveys menus?

  1. Go to Employee Surveys > Account.
  2. Open the My settings tab.
  3. Find System language.
  4. Select the language you want to use for the Employee Surveys menus and navigation.
  5. Scroll down and select Save.

Expected result: The Employee Surveys menus and navigation use the selected System language. Employee Surveys questions continue to use your Preferred language.

Who can change language settings in Employee Surveys?

  1. Every Employee Surveys user can change their own System language and Preferred language under Employee Surveys > Account > My settings tab.
  2. An Employee Surveys administrator can also change the language settings for another user:
  3. Go to Employee Surveys > People > Users tab.
  4. Open the relevant user.
  5. Change the user's System language, Preferred language, or both.
  6. Save the changes.
