What are results integrity settings in Employee Surveys?
Results integrity settings help protect respondent anonymity. They control how many responses a group needs before Employee Surveys displays aggregated results or the spread of answers. They also control whether managers and users can see and export comments.
Permissions: Only Employee Surveys administrators can change company-level results integrity settings.
Important: The minimum allowed value for aggregated results and the spread of answers is 3 responses.
How do I configure results integrity in Employee Surveys?
- Go to Employee Surveys > Account > then select the Company settings tab.
- Find the Results integrity section.
- In Minimum number of responses required to show aggregated results, enter the minimum number of responses required before Employee Surveys displays aggregated results. The default and lowest possible value is 3.
- In Minimum number of responses required to show the spread of the answers, enter the minimum number of responses required before Employee Surveys displays the spread of answers. The default and lowest possible value is 3.
- For Apply the same limit for free text answers as the limit set to show the spread of the results, select On or Off.
- On: Employee Surveys applies the spread-of-answers limit to free-text answers.
- Off: Employee Surveys shows all free-text answers regardless of the number of responses.
- Choose whether managers and users can see and export comments by setting the following options to On or Off:
- Allow Managers to see and export comments
- Allow Users to see and export comments
- Choose whether managers and users can see the spread of answers by setting the following options to On or Off:
- Allow Managers to see spread of answers
- Allow Users to see spread of answers
- Select Save at the bottom of the Results integrity section.
Expected result: The updated response limits and visibility settings become the account-level settings for Employee Surveys. Comment visibility can be restricted further for an individual pulse when the pulse is scheduled.
What is the difference between aggregated results and the spread of answers?
Aggregated results show the combined result for a group. The spread of answers shows anonymized detail about how responses vary within the group. The spread can help you understand whether respondents answered similarly or had different opinions, even when the average result is the same.
How do the comment settings work in Employee Surveys?
The comment settings determine whether managers and users can see and export free-text comments. You can configure access separately for managers and users.
Important: Comment access is also controlled by Results visibility when a pulse is scheduled. If comments are set to On in Company settings, the person scheduling a pulse can disable comments for that pulse. If comments are set to Off in Company settings, comments cannot be enabled for an individual pulse.
