Who can manage user rights in Employee Surveys?

Only Employee Surveys administrators can manage user rights settings. Managers and users cannot change these account-level settings.

How do I manage user rights in Employee Surveys?

  1. Go to Employee Surveys > Account > then select the User Management tab.
  2. Find the User rights section.
  3. Turn each available setting On or Off based on how you want users and managers to work in Employee Surveys.
  4. Your changes are saved automatically.

What user rights can I configure in Employee Surveys?

  • Allow any user to add a profile picture: Controls whether users can add a profile picture to their own Employee Surveys profile.
  • Allow any user to add their workplace and/or home address to their profile: Controls whether users can add workplace or home address information to their own profile. This information can be used to trigger questions on relevant occasions, such as coming to or leaving work.
  • Allow Managers to see the user list and add or edit users: Controls whether managers can open the user list and add or edit users. If this setting is turned off, managers cannot see the user list and can only see their groups in the group view.
  • Allow Managers who are able to see the user list to inactivate or remove users: Controls whether managers who can access the user list can also inactivate or remove users.

Tip: If Employee Surveys is integrated with Simployer One, turn off both manager user-management permissions. This helps ensure that users are managed through Simployer One instead of directly in Employee Surveys.

What happens when manager access to the user list is turned off?

When Allow Managers to see the user list and add or edit users is turned off, managers cannot access the user list. Managers can still see their groups in the group view, but they cannot add or edit users from the user list.
