What should I do if my timesheet contains vacation or sick leave?

Learn how Simployer One handles approved leave in timesheets and how to avoid incorrect time registrations.

How are vacation and sick leave added to the timesheet?

When you have approved vacation, sick leave, or another approved leave type, Simployer One automatically adds the leave to your timesheet for the relevant dates. You do not need to register the leave manually.

What should I check before submitting my timesheet?

Important

Leave entries should always show 0 working hours unless you actually worked during the approved leave period.

If you enter working hours on a vacation or sick leave entry, Simployer One treats those hours as worked time. This can create an incorrect time bank balance because the system assumes that you both took leave and worked on the same day.

If a leave entry is highlighted in orange, it means working hours have been registered for that leave entry. Review the entry before submitting your timesheet and change the working hours back to 0 if you did not work that day.

Tip

Before submitting your timesheet, review all vacation and sick leave entries. They should display 0 working hours unless you actually worked during the approved leave period.

Why is this important?

Entering working hours on approved leave may result in incorrect worked hours and an incorrect time bank balance. Checking leave entries before submitting your timesheet helps ensure your reported time is accurate.
