Available employee widgets
Simployer One offers two employee widgets you can add to your dashboard:
- FTE% widget – shows your Full Time Equivalents based on employment rate.
- Headcount widget – shows how many actual employees (heads) are active at a specific time.
You can create up to 15 widgets in total on one page, and you can create multiple widgets of either type with different date ranges, groupings, and filters.
What is the FTE% widget?
The FTE% widget shows how many Full Time Equivalents (FTEs) you have hired, based on the employment rate of your employees. For example, two employees each with a 50% employment rate count as 1 FTE.
This widget requires that employees have an employment record with a defined employment rate. If an employee's employment rate isn't set, that employee won't be reflected correctly in the FTE% calculation.
What is the Headcount widget?
The Headcount widget shows how many actual employees (heads) are active or hired at a specific point in time.
Note: New Headcount graphs and widgets may take a little longer to load, since a large amount of data is being processed.
Configuration options for FTE% and Headcount widgets
When you create either widget, you can configure:
- Date range – the period the widget shows data for.
- Group by category – the category used to group the data (all employees is the default).
- Select category items – which specific items within that category to include. For example, if grouping by department, you can choose to show only the Frames, Wheels & Bike Service department instead of all departments.
- Filter – additional filters on top of the grouping. For example, grouping by department while filtering to only permanent employees.
- Chart type – line chart or bar chart.
- Widget name – the name displayed on the widget.
