What happens
Before the dry-run preview can run, the wizard checks your Simployer One tenant for setup issues that would block specific sync types. If everything's expected on a fresh tenant, you'll see "Expected on a fresh tenant" — these resolve automatically during the migration chain, no action needed.
If something needs attention, you'll see "Action required before migrating these types" — left unresolved, those sync types are silently skipped when the real migration runs. Tenant setup like this is normally completed by us before your migration starts, so seeing this usually means something wasn't finished on our side yet — get in touch with us rather than trying to resolve it yourself.
Note: Sometimes you'll instead see "Resolving setup issues automatically…" — we're fixing this on your behalf in the background, and no action is needed from you.
Some issues need a person on our side, not an automated fix: if setup completes but leaves manual items, you'll see "Manual steps required" — we'll tell you what still needs configuring in Simployer One.
If you run into a problem
- "Action required before migrating these types" — contact us; we'll complete the tenant setup (the required correlation field, employment types, and leave policies in Simployer One) and let you know when it's done.
- A blocker can't be described in detail yet — you may see a generic message with a support code. Contact us and quote that code — we'll help you resolve it.
- Common blocker messages you might see:
- The correlation field, employment types, vacation leave type/policy, or self-certified sick leave policy is missing in Simployer One — this is tenant setup we normally complete before migration; contact us if you see it.
- The data snapshot has expired or can't be found — re-run Fetch data to get a fresh one. You can fix this one yourself.
- An employment's country doesn't match the country restriction on the Simployer One employment type it's mapped to — go back to Map employment types and map that Classic category to a type with no country restriction, or one for the correct country. You can fix this one yourself too.
- "Setup couldn't be completed automatically" — contact us and quote the support code(s) shown.
- "Some sync types will be skipped" — if blockers are still unresolved when you try to continue, you'll be asked to confirm: Continue anyway to proceed with those types skipped, or Go back — contact us first so we can resolve the blockers.
