Migration wizard: Migrate — Running the migration

Modified on Fri, 18 Sep at 9:35 AM

What happens

You land on Ready to migrate. This is the live transfer, not a preview — select Start the migration and confirm in the dialog that appears: "This will apply the changes listed above to your company's Simployer One environment. This action cannot be undone — only proceed when you're ready."

Once started, your HR data is moved to Simployer One in dependency order. The time it takes depends on how much data is being migrated — you can safely leave this page and come back, the migration picks up where it left off.

Progress is shown per entity (created, updated, dates corrected, assigned, failed) as it completes.

Your next step: once finished, continue to Verify.

If you run into a problem

  • Migration halted — steps that completed before the halt may already have written records to Simployer One. Review the step results and check with us before selecting Start new migration.
  • Migration was cancelled — if cancelled before any data was written, you can start a fresh migration.
  • Migration failed — you'll see how many of the total steps completed before it stopped; select Retry migration.
  • Existing plan covers a different scope — if an active migration plan already exists for your company covering different sync types than you selected in Choose what to migrate, either update your Step 3 selection to match, or resolve (cancel) the conflicting plan first.
  • Could not start migration — an error banner appears with a support reference if this happens.
