Configure whether and how employees can register their own sick leave.
These settings determine whether employees can register their own sick leave and whether they can register it retroactively.
Note
Two source articles describe the same settings with slightly different navigation paths and setting names. Both versions are included below. Check which version matches your version of Simployer Classic.
Configure employee self-registration of sick leave using version A
Version A comes from the newer source article.
- Go to System Settings → Modules → Sick Leave → Availability
- Set Allow employees to register their own sick leave to Yes. Employees can then register sick leave with today’s date
- To allow retroactive registration, set Allow employees to register leave retroactively to Yes. Employees can then select a past date
- Employees can only register sick leave retroactively as far back as their most recently completed sick leave. They cannot register sick leave before this point
Configure employee self-registration of sick leave using version B
Version B comes from the older source article.
- Go to System Settings → Sick Leave → Availability
- Set Allow employees to register their own sick leave to Yes. Employees can then register sick leave using Today’s date
- To allow retroactive registration, set Allow employees to register leave retroactively to Yes. Employees can then select a past date
- Employees can only register sick leave retroactively as far back as their most recently completed sick leave
