How do I use the turnover report?

Modified on Mon, 5 Oct at 10:34 AM

See how many employees and full-time equivalents (FTE) left the company during a selected period.

The turnover report is intended for HR employees and managers.

How do I generate the turnover report?

  1. Go to Reports in the left-hand menu in Simployer Classic.
  2. Select the turnover report.
  3. Enter the required period, for example, January 1st, 2025–December 31st, 2025.
  4. Generate the turnover report and review the results.

What does the standard view in the turnover report show?

The first columns in the turnover report show the number of employees and FTE who worked throughout the selected period.

How do I show values from the start of the period in the turnover report?

Select the option to show values from the start of the period. The turnover report then shows the number of employees and FTE on the first day of the selected period, for example, January 1st, 2025.

What do the columns for employees who left show?

The columns for employees who left show which employees left during the selected period and their FTE when they left.

Which employees are included in the turnover report?

  • An employee with a future position in the company is not included in the turnover report, even if there is a gap between the two periods of employment. For example, an employee with new employment starting February 1st, 2026 is not included when the selected period ends December 31st, 2025.
  • An employee is included when their last working day falls within the selected period, regardless of whether the last working day is at the beginning or end of the period.

How is FTE calculated in the turnover report?

The FTE column shows the employee’s employment percentage when they left. If the employment percentage increased during the selected period, for example, from 30% to 100%, the turnover report shows the latest value of 100%.

This shows how many full-time equivalents the company needs to replace.

Tip

You can export the turnover report to Excel. See the article “Export a report to Excel.”
