How do I view handbook statistics and track read confirmations?

Modified on Mon, 12 Oct at 10:21 AM

See which handbook articles users have read, request read confirmations, and track confirmation status.

View handbook statistics

In the relevant handbook, go to Edit. Select Administration in the blue menu bar at the top, then select Handbook Statistics in the menu on the left.

To generate a report about read articles, go to Administration → Handbook Statistics → Report. Select the date range for the report.

Handbook statistics show:

  • Number of views per article
  • Most-read articles
  • Time of the most recent view

Filter handbook statistics

Use the filters in Handbook Statistics to filter the data by date range, individual article, or user group.

Create a read confirmation for one or more handbook articles

  1. In the relevant handbook, go to Edit. Select Administration in the top menu, then select Read Confirmations.
  2. Select Create on the right side of the page, then enter a title and description.
  3. Select Select to choose articles. Open the handbook folders and select the articles that require confirmation.
  4. Under Users, select All to include all active handbook users or Selected to choose specific users. If you choose Selected, select Select, then select the relevant users.
  5. Select Save and Notify. The selected users receive an email informing them that they have articles to read and confirm.

Note

You can select individual articles, but you cannot select folders.

When employees sign in to the handbook portal, a box in the center of the page shows the articles that require read confirmation. Employees can open the articles from this box.

Important

Read confirmations are only available to employees with a personal user account. Users who sign in through a read link cannot confirm that they have read an article.

Track read confirmations

To track a read confirmation, go to Read Confirmations and select the name of the read confirmation. The page lists the users you added. Three columns on the right show who has and has not confirmed that they have read the articles.

To remind users who have not confirmed, select the black options button at the top of the page, below the read confirmation title.

The Articles tab shows which articles are included in the read confirmation and the status of each article.
